Keep the first release focused
A small portfolio usually needs clear product explanations, reliable navigation and honest availability labels before it needs a database or member accounts. Static pages keep those fundamentals easy to review.
Where static pages help
A static build can provide product pages, article pages, metadata, structured answers and fast internal links without collecting customer data. It also leaves the payment and fulfilment choice open until the product evidence is current.
- Fewer moving parts to maintain.
- No database or login required for the public information layer.
- A portable output folder for private preview and later hosting review.
When to add more technology
Add a CMS, search or authenticated workflow only when the publishing workload or customer experience justifies it. The right trigger is a measured operational need, not a preference for complexity.
